As part of the Erasmus+ mobility programme for teaching staff, associate professor dr. İrem Namlı Altıntaş visited our faculty. Professor Namlı Altıntaş comes from Süleyman Demirel University of Isparta, Turkey, where she teaches courses related to philosophy and civic education at the Faculty of Educational Sciences. On Tuesday, May 6, she gave a lecture entitled "The Relationship between Professional Ethics and Critical Thinking" to 3rd-year students of the Teacher Study. Throughout the lecture, she argued in favor of the crucial importance of critical thinking in the professional practice of teachers, which she supported with examples of resolving ethical dilemmas in student assessment and sharing confidential information.
