Presentation of the ELITE-AI Project Results

On Thursday, 24 April 2025, dr. Tilen Smajla from the University of Maribor (Slovenia) gave an engaging lecture in English to first-year Teacher Education students, titled Friends or Foes? Students' Perceptions of Using AI Tools in Foreign Language Learning and its Ethical Considerations.
The lecture focused on students' perceptions of the use of artificial intelligence tools in foreign language teaching and learning. Ethical issues related to the use of AI were also discussed, followed by a debate on its usefulness.
The lecture presented findings from the Erasmus+ project Empowering Specialized Language Acquisition with Integrated AI (ELITE-AI), in which the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula is a member.
