The first Mathematical Street Festival in Pula was held on 24 April 2025 at King Tomislav Square, and it was organized by the Mathematical Society "Istra" with the support of the Croatian Mathematical Society Zagreb.
The activities were led by Branka Antunović, PhD, Maja Kalebić, and Predrag Dukić, with the active participation of 6th-grade students from Vidikovac Elementary School and 4th-year students of the Teacher Education program at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula.
Participants engaged in mathematical games and challenges such as assembling tangrams, solving number puzzles, creating geometric patterns using string art, designing Sudoku pictures, and solving 'matchstick' puzzles.
The goal of the event was to popularize mathematics among children and young people, and the fun games at King Tomislav Square spontaneously attracted passers-by of all ages.
